UN/China Workshop on Human Space Technology organized jointly by United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs and China Manned Space Agency opened in Beijing on Sep. 16th, 2013. This workshop aims to share the achievements of the manned space technology, explore the future development for manned space and promote international exchanges and cooperation.
Prof. Liu Hong with her team attended this seminar at the invitation of the organizing committee of the symposium, demonstrated the latest achievements by poster and gave a talk at the working group session. They introduced the latest research results and development trend of our laboratory in space life support technology to the leaders, experts and astronauts from the participating countries and communicated with them.
More than 120 manned space experts from over 20 countries and regions and international organizations gathered together in the period of these five days. They discussed the latest progress in manned space flight and space exploration and the future development plan, reached a consensus for manned space technology and its application, promoted the construction of the ability of microgravity research and education, explored the cooperation mode of emerging countries to participate in the activities of space and promoted the implementation of the United Nations’ space application project "manned space technology initiative".
