In recent years environmental pollution is getting more and more serious and is becoming a key issue to human being's sustainable development. Governments in the world have strengthened  environmental protection, especially in China, one of the biggest developing countries.  How to harmonize economy development with environmental protection is a problem needed to solve. Water is the origin of everything in the world, but water pollution and shortage are getting more serious which resulted from plenty of industrial  and municipal wastewater with the rapid development of industry and urbanization. Ordinary industrial and municipal wastewater could be treated by traditional biological treatment process, but traditional process  doesn't work well when the quality or amount of wastewater is not stable or the wastewater contains unbiodegradable matters. So seeking the technology of enhancing biological process is becoming a hot issue in the international scientific field.

       Shortage of fresh water and water pollution are heavy day and day with the sharp increase of population, rapid development of economy and unreasonable usage of water resource. In China, standard of water quality is improving companying with frequent pollution of water resource. Finding the technology of improving fresh water quality is a way to solve the puzzle.
